Starting off I was a little unsure of what I needed for scrapbooking. There are so many tools out on the market it's hard to decide what you need sometimes. To start scrapbooking all you need is a regular pair of scissors, photo safe glue, paper, some photos and of course your scrapbook. I started off buying all my needs at a crafting store and then as I continued, I realized you can find your materials almost anywheres now.
Your local dollar store is always a good place to start. They normally have a wide variety of stickers and items you can use for scrapbooking. I buy almost all my stickers there because they are such a good price and work very well. They also have the cardstock and accessories that you may need as well. You can always go to Walmart as well, their crafts section is always expanding.
As you proceed you can always pick up items along the way. Craft scissors are always nice to have as they can turn a page into something very artistic. An exacto knife can also help to cut photos in a straight line by just using an exacto knife as well as a flat ruler. If one side is raised a little bit, flip the ruler over to make sure you have a perfectly straight line. Remember to keep stuff from around the house and memorabilia as they are great accessories to put on a scrapbooking page. I will show you some of my scrapbook pages later on and show you how the things you keep from around the house can help you along your way.
